From Kent State University graduate to 2014 Miss Ohio US International, Elana Koh continues to support her community and bring awareness to important social issues affecting woman and girls throughout Ohio. Elana will spend her year as Miss Ohio US International promoting her passion to end human trafficking.
“Children should not be bought and/or sold anywhere and unfortunately this happens every day, everywhere, and Ohio is not only a destination state but a recruitment state too.” Says Elana. “It can be stopped. It takes time, commitment and most importantly people to realize it exists and to become a force against slavery.” Elana is a committed educator and community outreach volunteer with Partners Against Trafficking of Humans Stark (PATHS) and Collaborative Against Human Trafficking – Summit County (SCCAHT).
Elana also enjoys volunteering with Northern Ohio ALS Association, Girls On The Run, Make A Wish, and participating in charity fashion shows throughout Northeast Ohio. As a graduate of Kent State University, she works as a product specialist in the automotive industry.
